The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
Everything in one place, covering regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and the bonus get more info terms, is at Trade The Day.
